Look at how disgusted he is by the very notion that she could touch his hair too without permission
Pay close attention folks.
VERY close attention folks.
This is the nature of everyone else vs. black people’s hair summed up in two gifs.
You touch ours willy-fucking nilly but are repulsed when someone DARES to invade your precious boundaries. I see you double standard, I fucking see you.
The body language says it all…. I myself have the privilege of being the big scary looking black man so I have only had one interaction of this “petting” with another adult (21yrs ^) in regard to my hair since I started my Locs. Since I follow plenty of natural sisters I get y’all’s accounts of these incidences and to deal with this on a regular basis I honestly don’t see how y’all do it.
This really pisses me off. SO FUCKING MUCH.
He almost took flight.
His hair is real but her’s isn’t… Tumblr and its “privilege shit” is stupid. Most black women always complaining about “white privilege” but still wanna look like white women by buying expensive weave. If thats not a double standard, then I don’t know what is…
The hair being real of fake is irrelevant. It’s the fact that we’re NOT animals. Don’t pet us and touch our hair without asking and then be disgusted if we do the same. People will literally walk up and stick their hands in our fros or weaves and cop an attitude if we do that shit back. It’s okay to invade our personal space but God forbid we give you the same treatment. So yes, it is a case of privilege. And furthermore, why does a black woman wearing a weave automatically mean she wants to look like a white woman? Why can’t she just wear a weave because she fuckin feels like it?
So if Black women brought cheap weave would it matter? And wearing a weave is not a black thing. All women wear weaves. SO the fuck
Exactly the fuck ? Double standard, fuck of and don’t touch us
